New
Exporail at the cinema
February 28 to April 26, 2020

What do Pascale Bussières, Roy Dupuis, Julie Le Breton, Nora Arnezeder, William Hurt, Lynn Redgrave, Saoirse Ronan and Debbie Lynch-White have in common? They all filmed for the cinema at Exporail.
The museum's passenger coaches, trams and steam locomotives provide a setting sought after by the film industry. Filmmakers can create the atmosphere of a streetcar running in Montreal or Brooklyn, simulate the departure of a train from Montreal or a city in Europe, or immerse you in the atmosphere of the late 19th century or the mid-1950s. The magic of cinema works at Exporail thanks to its varied collection of railway vehicles. Among the films shot at the museum are Ma vie en cinémascope, Maurice Richard, Varian's War, The Words, Brooklyn, Chasse-galerie: La légende and La Bolduc. Visitors are invited to learn more about the CPR Neville sleeper car and the MTC 1046 Tramway with a short presentation of their features and the film scenes that were shot there.
Excerpts from the film La Bolduc available on the Internet:
